Since WordPress.com decided to inflict its new interface on the world, it has become a bit harder to turn images into links (<sarcasm>thank you WordPress.com!</sarcasm>). I find the easiest way round this is to default back to the old WP Admin interface.
So from your site. hover over the “My Sites” in the top right corner, And when it expands, click on “WP Admin“.
Hover over “Posts” and when it expands, click on “Add New“.
Now write your post.
When you are ready to add a button, go to the Food For Thought Friday page and copy the code for the button you want to use. You only need to copy the text inside the inverted commas as shown.
Decide where you want the button to go, and click “Add Media“.
Click on “Insert From URL“.
Paste the link for the image you want into the box.
In the “Align” section, click on the button that represents how you want the button aligned with the text of your post.
In the ““Link To” section, select “Custom URL” and pate the URL of the Food For Thought Friday post you want to link to into the box.
Click on “Insert into post“.
That’s it. When you publish your post on your own blog, anyone who clicks on the button will now be taken to the appropriate prompt on the Food For Thought Friday site.
